焊接材料或焊材是指焊接时所消耗材料的通称，例如焊条、焊丝、金属粉末、焊剂、气体、电极、衬垫等。不同的母材和焊接方法适用焊材也不一样，欧盟针对不同材质、不同应用的焊材制定了相应的技术规范标准。焊材出口欧盟各成员国时，需要通过CE认证。

焊接成品最终应于建筑用途时，需按依据欧盟建筑建材法规Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 Construction Products (CPD/CPR)申请ＣＥ认证，此外，欧洲标准具有分类较细、针对性较强的特点，在应用时注意其前提条件，例如采用手工电弧焊接结构钢时的焊条标准有EN499、EN757, EN499适用于材料屈服强度≤500Mpa的强度结构用钢，而EN757适用于材料屈服强度>500Mpa的强度结构用钢。如：通用焊材CE认证标准为：EN 13479:2017 Welding consumables - General product standard for filler metals and fluxes for fusion welding of metallic materials焊接消耗品.金属材料熔焊用填充金属和焊剂的一般产品标准。
